[ The feed clicks on, revealing a very familiar voice; eventually the camera function starts up, zooming in and out on the neckline of a white t-shirt. After a few moments, the person holding the device seems to be satisfied that they've figured out all its functions, and the camera pans up to finally reveal one scarred, frowning face. The eyes are dark, the brow only slightly furrowed; while Leon's face is difficult to read on a good day, he looks particularly subdued today. Anyone familiar with him knows this is because he is royally pissed. ]

If the words 'Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee' ring any bells, now'd be a good time to speak up. I--hey, careful.

[ A massive metal shape comes into view--Skarmory's head, peering down at the camera. Those big blue eyes are bright and alert, seeming incredibly out of place in a face that looks like it could rip someone in half. Skarmory makes a raucous, curious noise, somewhere between a chirp and grinding sawblades. Leon gently but firmly uses his arm to push the bird out of the way. ]

Anyone with any clear information on what to do with--that-- [ He glances away from the camera; it's pretty clear he's talking about Skarmory. ] --would be appreciated.

[ A pause. ]

Thank you.

[ The feed clicks off. ]

[So the first thing Leon's gonna see is a big, cheerful grin. It looks pretty tired around the edges, but it's there nevertheless. Whenever Ven can play greeting squad, he's happy to do it]

I've been told. [ Skarmory makes yet another hideous noise. Leon's nose wrinkles slightly. ] I should probably invest in earplugs. Are they all like this? [ By that he means 'huge, awkward and noisy'. ]

[The first thing the Warrior can think of to say is "Squall, how did you get to New Bark Town so quickly?"

Except he is pretty certain that Squall hasn't gone anywhere. This must be the "twin" phenomenon that Aerith had mentioned to him, then. It is a very strange thing to see.]

[ His expression perks up. Someone else who knows Aerith. ]

[That voice! It sounds very familiar to her. She had an idea who it could be on the other line, but she couldn't see his face yet. Aerith wanted to be completely certain whoever is talking is really the person she's thinking about and not another double. However when she saw the way too familiar expression on Leon's face, a smile instantly appears on her face.]

Leon! Is it really you?

[ A wild Aerith appears! Leon's face softens considerably, mostly out of relief. It's good to see a familiar face. ]

[This little girl's been hanging around New Bark Town, and so seeing a new arrival's got her all kinds of curious. Especially seeing Leon's Skarmory -- it's like a giant steel turkey!

So she'll just come up next to Leon and tug his jacket a little to get his attention.]

[ Skarmory turns to the little girl and noses her lightly, curious. Leon gets mildly worried for the child's safety and firmly mudges Skarmory away. When he looks down at Nanako, his expression is gentle. ]
