[ The feed clicks on, revealing a very familiar voice; eventually the camera function starts up, zooming in and out on the neckline of a white t-shirt. After a few moments, the person holding the device seems to be satisfied that they've figured out all its functions, and the camera pans up to finally reveal one scarred, frowning face. The eyes are dark, the brow only slightly furrowed; while Leon's face is difficult to read on a good day, he looks particularly subdued today. Anyone familiar with him knows this is because he is royally pissed. ]

If the words 'Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee' ring any bells, now'd be a good time to speak up. I--hey, careful.

[ A massive metal shape comes into view--Skarmory's head, peering down at the camera. Those big blue eyes are bright and alert, seeming incredibly out of place in a face that looks like it could rip someone in half. Skarmory makes a raucous, curious noise, somewhere between a chirp and grinding sawblades. Leon gently but firmly uses his arm to push the bird out of the way. ]

Anyone with any clear information on what to do with--that-- [ He glances away from the camera; it's pretty clear he's talking about Skarmory. ] --would be appreciated.

[ A pause. ]

Thank you.

[ The feed clicks off. ]

[ So she's just been hanging around for thirty-six hours? Dang. He turns his attention to the vulpix again. Leon isn't the best with kids, but he'll make an honest effort. ] Well, let's see. What can she do?

Then why not something fire-related, like...I don't know, Ember? [ Fffff Leon is not nearly creative and/or fatherly enough to pull this off. Help 'im out here, kid. ]

She can't help but giggle, happy that he wants to help] I think it knows a move called Ember already. If I name her that, I'd be saying "Ember, use Ember" all the time!

That is a problem isn't it? Well, she does have a shiny coat...why don't you call her Glitter? [ Little girls like glittery, shiny things, don't they? Shut up Leon HE'S TRYING OKAY. ]

[Gaaaaasp!] Glitter! That's really pretty! [She looks down at Vulpix] What do you think? Do you like it?

[Vulpix answers with a happy "Vulpix, vul!" and Nanako smiles, turning to Leon, clearly pleased.]

[ That? That is the sound of all of Leon's badass points GOING AWAY. ]

Don't worry about it. [ Poop now what HOW DOES I SMALL CHILD??? ] And I'm not very good with names, actually. This is Skarmory. [ He motions, and the massive metal turkey from earlier is suddenly poking out from behind him. Skarmory makes a curious noise at Nanako. Hello there, small human! ]

Well, she's definitely big. Don't know about strong, though. And she doesn't have a name for now.

[ Skarmory presents her throat to Nanako. Scritches plz? Leon rolls his eyes and translates. ]

She wants you to scratch her throat. She likes that.

Oh, okay! [She gets on her tiptoes and reeeeeeaches up, lightly running her small fingers along the bird's throat.]

She's so sweet and tall! Kind of like the ostriches in the Zoo back home.

If you say so--be careful, her beak is sharp. [ But it's okay, because you have ADULT SUPERVISION! Leon would feel kind of terrible if anything happened to Nanako on his watch. ]
