1st roar [ video ]
Hn. It's working. No, get away from it. I don't want you to break it.
[ The feed clicks on, revealing a very familiar voice; eventually the camera function starts up, zooming in and out on the neckline of a white t-shirt. After a few moments, the person holding the device seems to be satisfied that they've figured out all its functions, and the camera pans up to finally reveal one scarred, frowning face. The eyes are dark, the brow only slightly furrowed; while Leon's face is difficult to read on a good day, he looks particularly subdued today. Anyone familiar with him knows this is because he is royally pissed. ]
If the words 'Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee' ring any bells, now'd be a good time to speak up. I--hey, careful.
[ A massive metal shape comes into view--Skarmory's head, peering down at the camera. Those big blue eyes are bright and alert, seeming incredibly out of place in a face that looks like it could rip someone in half. Skarmory makes a raucous, curious noise, somewhere between a chirp and grinding sawblades. Leon gently but firmly uses his arm to push the bird out of the way. ]
Anyone with any clear information on what to do with--that-- [ He glances away from the camera; it's pretty clear he's talking about Skarmory. ] --would be appreciated.
[ A pause. ]
Thank you.

Don't think I've ever met a Roxas, but I'll keep that in mind. Apparently there's a guy running around with my face.

This place is a bit weird, but most everybody's pretty friendly.

Seems like it so far. Hopefully it'll keep going like this.

[A few moments pass and he gestures to Skarmory]
So have you checked what kind of pokémon that is?

[ Checkiiiiing~ ]
It's a she, and she's a Skarmory...I hope I read that right.
[ Skarrrrr! Have a big metal beak chirruping at you, Ven, with two blue eyes attached. The sounds are like the bastard children of a chainsaw, a chicken and a crow. ]
...best description
Your starter's a girl too, huh? She seems pretty friendly.
well skarmory itself is clearly the product of a turkey, sawblades and a lot of alcohol
She's definitely curious; I think she's just itching to get going. Apparently you keep them in these...ball things? [ Picking up a pokeball to exmine it. Doesn't look nearly big enough. ]
pfft, that sounds about right
That wouldn't surprise me, it seems like a lot of them do that. [Seeing the ball, he nods] Yeah, you use those. I know it looks tiny but somehow, it can told them.

...well, that's convenient.
[ A pause. He should thank this kid, but he isn't sure how. He'll settle for some kind words. ] Thanks for the help, Ventus. If I can ever pay you back, let me know.

[And there's a pause. This Leon guy keeps saying things like that, and yet...]
Hey, like I said, I'm happy to help. And you can just call me Ven if you want.

Ven, then. I guess we'll see each other around.

I'm sure we will! Let's have a battle someday, I bet it'd be fun.
[That is, once he catches something that he hasn't had for over a month]
