6th roar [ video + action for violet ]

[ The feed starts with a very enthusiastic GOOOOO LEOOOON from a certain excited ninja. The first shot is of Lightning, who is glaring Yuffie down from the next seat over. Giggling and cheering, Yuffie turns the gear towards the match in progress. Noctowl and Honchkrow have presumably already been taken down, as currently Skarmory is facing down Falkner's Pidgeot. Both birds are in flight over the arena, but Pidgeot is slightly wobbly from poison; it's clear that Flood did a number on it already.

Yuffie is making ~~obnoxious commentary~~ a full play-by-play as the match continues; both pokemon have used Agility repeatedly, and the result is difficult to follow. One second Skarmory is diving for Pidgeot, the next Pidgeot is slamming its wing into Skarmory's head. Unfortunately for Pidgeot, its efforts are in vain: Skarmory has the type advantage. Skarmory uses Pidgeot's proximity to catch it in her talons, and unleashes a hideous Metal Sound at point-blank range. Pidgeot screams and flails away, causing Skarmory to lose her balance; their talons still twined, they go plummeting down in a cloud of blades and feathers.

Skarmory's metal shell means the impact doesn't bother her much; Pidgeot, on the other hand, poisoned and dizzy, is out. Yuffie gives a shrill whistle, effectively drowning out Lightning's own cheer. Skarmory shrieks triumphantly before she and Pidgeot go back to their respective pokeballs. The feed clicks out. ]

Could be worse. She might have been the kind of Skarmory who likes to bite or claw you.

Don't think I would've tolerated that kind of behavior for very long.

[ Case in point: right after her first slip-up with Green, she'd been forbidden to fly for a week. Any violent tendencies she might have disappeared after that, with a minimum of fuss. Leon ran a tight ship. ]

[A very tight ship, from what she'd seen over the past month. Which was why she was smirking just a little bit now, even as she turned to the doors.]

[ They're back outside, in the crisp evening air; Leon, both due to his build and the earlier adrenaline, doesn't really feel it. He makes a beeline for the pokemon center. ]

What are your plans for now?

[Lightning, on the other hand, due to her sickness and slighter build, does feel it. She stuffs her hands in her coat pockets as she walks, sighing a little.]

Heading up to Goldenrod with Ven and the others as soon as they're ready.

[ He's going to pretend he doesn't notice her shiver, while at the same time slowing his pace to match hers. Have some of his radiating warmth, Lightning. ]

I was going to meet up with Aerith in Azalea. [ He's assuming that's the route you're taking, since he hasn't heard of the Sudowoodo yet. Also that reminds him; he takes out his pokegear and fires off a quick text message. ]

[Why thank you, dear Leon. She's just keeping her eyes on the road, though.]

Then we'll be splitting up soon. There's a faster route to Goldenrod, apparently. [Though if it doesn't work...wellll, they'll catch up eventually.]

[ He blinks at her; well damn, he wishes he'd known that earlier. Oh well, at least this way he'll get to pick up the Hive badge along the way. ]

[Skarmory will have fun, at least. Might not want throat scritchings after that.]

Through Route 36. There's a Pokemon blocking the way, but it apparently doesn't like water.

[ Skarmory is going to tear Bugsy a new one. You just watch. ]

I'll keep that in mind if I ever need to make the return trip, then.

[ Oh hello, warm pokemon center. Brb checking in the team with the nurse. ]

[Just gonna sit down, kthx. You take your time, Leon. Take all the time you need.]

[ After a few minutes, he returns to her side, settling down next to Lightning on the bench as he waits for Joy to finish with his team. He toys with a pokeball for a bit before opening it, releasing a small, friendly-looking Vulpix. ]

[She peers down at the little creature, before slowly offering her hand towards it for a sniff.] It yours?

[ Glitter daintily approaches Lightning's hand, sniffing a few times before hopping up on the bench for a more personal introduction. ]

I didn't catch her; she belonged to a little girl I met. Her name's Glitter. [ He motions to the Vulpix. ]

[Lightning just...holds steady as Glitter comes closer. Fluffy little thing. Belonged...]

Her name was Nanako, wasn't it?

[ He glances over, curious. ]

Yeah. Did you know her?

[She shakes her head, reaching forward to gently scratch behind Glitter's ears.]

We talked once. She was from the same world as one of my travelling companions. [And Rise had been...kind of broken up about it.]

[ Glitter is just going to come over and spill her furry wamrth all over your lap, Lightning. Vuuuuulll~ ]

Glitter was in the PC when I woke up, after our 3-day 'nap'.

[Whoa---okay....fine. Lightning's just going to pet her. A little. She does make for a nice furry heating pad.]

Some nap, the way everyone got split up like this. [And how you were acting when she met up with you on Route 30. Almost like you were ready to kill someone.]

[ Glitter likes you, okay. DEAL WITH IT. ]

There's no way I could have slept for three days. [ Most nights, Leon has a hard time sleeping for a straight three hours. ]

All of us at once? Impossible.
