[ The feed starts with a very enthusiastic GOOOOO LEOOOON from a certain excited ninja. The first shot is of Lightning, who is glaring Yuffie down from the next seat over. Giggling and cheering, Yuffie turns the gear towards the match in progress. Noctowl and Honchkrow have presumably already been taken down, as currently Skarmory is facing down Falkner's Pidgeot. Both birds are in flight over the arena, but Pidgeot is slightly wobbly from poison; it's clear that Flood did a number on it already.

Yuffie is making ~~obnoxious commentary~~ a full play-by-play as the match continues; both pokemon have used Agility repeatedly, and the result is difficult to follow. One second Skarmory is diving for Pidgeot, the next Pidgeot is slamming its wing into Skarmory's head. Unfortunately for Pidgeot, its efforts are in vain: Skarmory has the type advantage. Skarmory uses Pidgeot's proximity to catch it in her talons, and unleashes a hideous Metal Sound at point-blank range. Pidgeot screams and flails away, causing Skarmory to lose her balance; their talons still twined, they go plummeting down in a cloud of blades and feathers.

Skarmory's metal shell means the impact doesn't bother her much; Pidgeot, on the other hand, poisoned and dizzy, is out. Yuffie gives a shrill whistle, effectively drowning out Lightning's own cheer. Skarmory shrieks triumphantly before she and Pidgeot go back to their respective pokeballs. The feed clicks out. ]

[ He gives her a vaguely blank look at the question. It had never really occured to him not to--it's not like he has anything else to do here, and he's not the type to sit still. ]

I don't see why not. Might as well challenge the next one while we're in Azalea. [ Shrug. ]

But...what if one of your friends want to celebrate your victory with you? [Her expressions softens a bit.] I wasn't able to watch your first battle, so...I want to at least celebrate your victory with you and your pokemon too.

[She should have expected he would want to take on the gym.]

That sounds like a good idea. I'll try to get to Azelea Town as quickly as I can. I'm not going to miss another one of your gym battles.

[ He lets the corner of his mouth quirk up, a little bit. It's soft, not proud this time. ]

Yuffie's going to be traveling with me. Is that alright with you?

[She'll giggle and nod her head.] Of course, silly! I can't let the guest of honor pay the bill, you know~

Oh, really? She wants to travel with us? [Do you see that bright smile on her lips?] I'm completely all right with the idea. She might not be our Yuffie, but she is still Yuffie to me.

I told her I was going and she asked to come; didn't see the harm in letting her tag along. If she whines too much, I'm dumping her on you, though.

[ Fair warning. ]

[She's just going to laugh softly at the warning until a pout appeared on her lips.]

You really should have a little more faith in us, Leon. I'm sure she will be on her best behavior during the trip. Just try not to be too scary, okay?

[Pffft, Leon isn't scary ~~except when he's pissed off.~~]

[ He's half-teasing, half-serious. This isn't his Yuffie, and he reserves the right to intimidate her into submission if he needs to. ]

[Fine, but she doesn't want to hear any complaints from Yuffie when she sees her again.]

I know you two will be just fine on this trip. You and our Yuffie have always gotten along, so I'm sure you two will get along too. The only I ask to be well prepared before you leave and to buy extra blankets. I don't want neither of you to get sick.

Don't worry about us. We'll stop by the store and get Yuffie some warmer clothes before we head out.

All right. Bundle up well, okay. It's been getting colder and I think the temperature will keep going down.[She thought of something too.] Maybe you should buy a thicker jacket, too. Unless you think your jacket will be able to keep you warm no matter how cold it gets.

[Is Aerith sensing something? Looks like she's been keeping eye on the temperature lately.]

[ No comments on buying a new jacket. ] I'll be fine. [ Stop worrying. He can handle a little snow. He'll get himself a sweater of something. ]

[She should have expected him to act like this over the idea of a new jacket.] All right, all right, I'll stop worrying about you. [She gives him a warm smile.] Don't worry about the jacket. Just stay warm until we meet each other again. [Looks like she has something in mind on how to fix the jacket problem.]

....if you do get sick, however, expect to eat one of my special soups~ [oh boy, leon. you should know what she means by that.]

[ ANYTHING BUT THAT--Leon doesn't want to die a slow, torturous death by food poisoning, thank you. He has an inkling as to what she's planning with his jacket, and he doesn't mind. ]

Alright, consider me warned.

[Then don't get sick because you will die a slow and torturous death if you don't take care of yourself! She isn't kidding around about the special soup either.]

I hope so. It would be a shame to lose you at the prime of your youth~

[Pfffft. She will laugh a bit and stick her tongue out because really...that is so a Merlin quote.]

[ He's eaten her 'soup'; he knows she's not kidding around. He has to roll his eyes at her quoting Merlin, though. ]

[She stops giggling and smiles even more. Somehow it made her pretty happy to hear him say that.]

Even if it was easy, I still wouldn't want to get rid of you. You're the only family I have here.... [She might have Sora in Johto, but it isn't the same as having someone from Radiant Gardens with her. Especially someone she trusts to the point of never second guessing them Somehow the thought got her to blush a bit. Oh geez. Now she regrets saying the whole family bit. So embarrassing and it doesn't help when Maria, Blissey, and even Mosey can hear her.] Ah ha ha...I must really be homesick if I'm saying something so embarrassing... [She'll just laugh nervously.] Sorry about that....I didn't mean to say something so odd.

[ He shakes his head lightly, expression softening. ]

[ If she's feeling homesick, though, he wants to be a good not!brother and be there for her. All the more reason to get to Azalea faster. ]

Are you, though? Homesick, I mean.

[Her look turns a bit worried, but she was mostly a little upset with herself. She nods her head gently.]

I didn't want to say anything to you about it because I didn't to worry you. I've been feeling a little homesick lately. [Little? She was feeling homesick.] I guess the idea of Christmas on the way...it reminds me of home. I miss everyone.

[She can't help it really. Yuffie, Cid, Merlin, and Cloud was the only family she has anywhere. She has never been more than a month away from everyone before.]
