[ The feed starts with a very enthusiastic GOOOOO LEOOOON from a certain excited ninja. The first shot is of Lightning, who is glaring Yuffie down from the next seat over. Giggling and cheering, Yuffie turns the gear towards the match in progress. Noctowl and Honchkrow have presumably already been taken down, as currently Skarmory is facing down Falkner's Pidgeot. Both birds are in flight over the arena, but Pidgeot is slightly wobbly from poison; it's clear that Flood did a number on it already.

Yuffie is making ~~obnoxious commentary~~ a full play-by-play as the match continues; both pokemon have used Agility repeatedly, and the result is difficult to follow. One second Skarmory is diving for Pidgeot, the next Pidgeot is slamming its wing into Skarmory's head. Unfortunately for Pidgeot, its efforts are in vain: Skarmory has the type advantage. Skarmory uses Pidgeot's proximity to catch it in her talons, and unleashes a hideous Metal Sound at point-blank range. Pidgeot screams and flails away, causing Skarmory to lose her balance; their talons still twined, they go plummeting down in a cloud of blades and feathers.

Skarmory's metal shell means the impact doesn't bother her much; Pidgeot, on the other hand, poisoned and dizzy, is out. Yuffie gives a shrill whistle, effectively drowning out Lightning's own cheer. Skarmory shrieks triumphantly before she and Pidgeot go back to their respective pokeballs. The feed clicks out. ]

It's not that I don't like battling. It's actually kinda fun when you get into it. But... I think my Poekey's don't like me.

[It could be because she doesn't bother to learn about them, or even what they're called, or their gender, and she handles them a bit roughly. But let's not sweat the small stuff, huh. Couldn't possibly be her fault.]

[ It occurs to him, knowing Yuffie, that this might be the case; but unless he sees it in action, he's not going to make any harsh accusations. If they travel together, though, you can bet he's going to call her on it. ]

Maybe you just have different personalities. [ He opens the gym doors, leading them out into the open air. ]

Could be! Cait Sith's always telling me I clash with everyone.

[She laughs then shivers as they step out into the cold air.]

[ Man, it's jarring to hear her talk about people he doesn't know. He falls into step next to her, not really feeling the cold. ]

I'm meeting Aerith in Azalea by the end of the week. I'll be leaving by morning, I think.

Your Aerith? Cool! Can I come!? I don't really have a whole lot plans here. I mean I should talk to the Doc, but I think he was meeting with someone.

[She shrugs and wraps her arms around herself. She's no stranger to the cold.]

[ He gives her a sideways glance. He may be walking just a bit closer ~~totally not so she can get warm what even~~. ]

'Course I'll behave! Who do you think I am? I did just turn eighteen not that long ago ya know. [Haughty look. Obviously she's a grown up now.]

[ May or may not be putting a hand on her shoulder, tugging her closer. ]

You'll need warmer clothes; we can get you some in the morning before we leave. Do you mind riding a pokemon?

True. The only change I have is some stupid dress, and it doesn't look much warmer.

Wait. [Wide eyes.] You can ride them!?

[ He remembers the last time someone tried to ride Skarmory in the air--yeah, no. ]

We'll be riding Onix; you saw him battle back in the gym, remember? The big rock snake. He can carry both of us pretty comfortably. [ For a relative value of 'comfortably'. ] We'll still be doing a lot of the walking, though.

So cool! Walking's not a problem for me. I did a lot of walking back home. I just get air sick. Back home we have this airship that we used to travel on. Maaan I hated thing!

But riding that giant rock snake sounds fun!

[ They turn the corner, arriving finally at the pokemon center. Hello, sweet warmth. Leon leaves Yuffie to defrost, while he goes to check in his pokemon and fiddle on his pc for a bit. ]
