1st roar [ video ]
Hn. It's working. No, get away from it. I don't want you to break it.
[ The feed clicks on, revealing a very familiar voice; eventually the camera function starts up, zooming in and out on the neckline of a white t-shirt. After a few moments, the person holding the device seems to be satisfied that they've figured out all its functions, and the camera pans up to finally reveal one scarred, frowning face. The eyes are dark, the brow only slightly furrowed; while Leon's face is difficult to read on a good day, he looks particularly subdued today. Anyone familiar with him knows this is because he is royally pissed. ]
If the words 'Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee' ring any bells, now'd be a good time to speak up. I--hey, careful.
[ A massive metal shape comes into view--Skarmory's head, peering down at the camera. Those big blue eyes are bright and alert, seeming incredibly out of place in a face that looks like it could rip someone in half. Skarmory makes a raucous, curious noise, somewhere between a chirp and grinding sawblades. Leon gently but firmly uses his arm to push the bird out of the way. ]
Anyone with any clear information on what to do with--that-- [ He glances away from the camera; it's pretty clear he's talking about Skarmory. ] --would be appreciated.
[ A pause. ]
Thank you.

That's a neat trick. Was it supposed to do that?

[he directs a rather sheepish expression at Leon.]
I have no idea. It does something different every time!

Maybe you should use a little more carefully next time.

[as if to almost prove his point, Bell starts waddling toward him. Sora follows her with the camera as she waddles close enough to cling to his shoe.]

[ That thing is as big as Sora's ankle. There's no way it could have naturally produced that sound. ] Do they use...magic?

[Sora bends down to scoop up the flailing little poached egg in his arms.]
Pokémon have all kinds of weird powers! Puddles can shoot psychic beams that'll put you to sleep or confuse you.

...yet. ]
Psychic beams, huh? Must come in handy.

Are you gonna name your can opener?

I dunno. Doesn't he look like a Puddles to you?

Guess I didn't think of it that way. Same idea with Dapper and Bell?

At least she's in good hands.

[he looks a little lost in his thoughts briefly, and maybe a little bothered by those thoughts, but Sora brightens up after a minute either way.]
You're headed this way, right Leon? We should meet up in Violet!

[once Minnie is rescued and the Square Brigade returns to Violet, there will be a million derps in Violet. we'll call it Kingdom Derps.]

Glad you think so. She seems to be a rare kind. [ He scratches her throat. Her impressive pose immediately deflates, and she makes a delighted noise. Moar throat scratches pls. ]

Aw, man, I want a Skarmory.
no subject
[ He has no clue, really. He just assumes she's rare because everyone's telling him they've never seen anything like her. ]
