Hn. It's working. No, get away from it. I don't want you to break it.

[ The feed clicks on, revealing a very familiar voice; eventually the camera function starts up, zooming in and out on the neckline of a white t-shirt. After a few moments, the person holding the device seems to be satisfied that they've figured out all its functions, and the camera pans up to finally reveal one scarred, frowning face. The eyes are dark, the brow only slightly furrowed; while Leon's face is difficult to read on a good day, he looks particularly subdued today. Anyone familiar with him knows this is because he is royally pissed. ]

If the words 'Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee' ring any bells, now'd be a good time to speak up. I--hey, careful.

[ A massive metal shape comes into view--Skarmory's head, peering down at the camera. Those big blue eyes are bright and alert, seeming incredibly out of place in a face that looks like it could rip someone in half. Skarmory makes a raucous, curious noise, somewhere between a chirp and grinding sawblades. Leon gently but firmly uses his arm to push the bird out of the way. ]

Anyone with any clear information on what to do with--that-- [ He glances away from the camera; it's pretty clear he's talking about Skarmory. ] --would be appreciated.

[ A pause. ]

Thank you.

[ The feed clicks off. ]

I rarily change my pokemon's name. Chansey was the way she introduced herself to me, so she will keep her name. It feels...wrong to change their names, you know? It's like someone changing your name because they felt like it.

[Except she named her Shuppet and Ladyba out of revenge. Awww, Leon. Don't feel awkward around Chansey.]

Chansey, the man on the other side of the gear is Leon. Remember? He's one of the friends I told to you about.

Chansey!

[The polite pokemon will bow her head towards Leon. It doesn't take long for her attention to turn to the other pokemon. The Chansey smiles happily and waves her tiny arm. Hello, hello! It's nice to meet you too! I'm Chansey.]

Where are you right now, Aerith?

[ Skarmory makes that sound halfway between a chirp and sawblades again, tilting her head at Chansey. I'm Skarmory! Look at my boss! Isn't he cool? ]

I'm in Violet City. If I knew you were coming to Johto, I would have stayed back in Cherrygrove City.

[Why is Johto so random? Bad world. However she doesn't mind going back to Cherrygrove City. Most of her friends are still there.]

Have you read the pokemon handbook yet?

[Chansey will look at Leon, again. He really does look like Squall. Kinda scary. She nods her head in agreement. Leon is really cool. My trainer has told me really good things about him especially when she was mad with his double.

That is one week she will never forget.]

There's a handbook? [ Knowing Leon, he will PORE OVER IT FOR DAYS until he knows everything about everything. ] Must be in the pack.

Would you mind meeting up in Cherrygrove city, then?

That's right. [There's your answer for both questions.]

[She begins to giggle a bit.] Did you really have to ask?

[ A small smile. ] Then it's settled then. How fast do you think you can get there? It's farther to Violet, isn't it?

It usually takes a week to head to Cherrygrove City from Violet City. I don't have a pokemon to ride on, so it'll take me a while to get there.

You will reach Cherrygrove City before I will unless you get lost on the route.

I shouldn't--I've got some travelling companions. Between the four of us, we'll be okay. Will you be alone?

Good. It's better to travel with a group.

[However at his other question. She thinks about a good enough response because she doesn't want to worry him.]

I won't be exactly alone. I'm traveling with a special group. They'll take very good care of me like they always do.

[ Brow arch. ]

...you mean your pokémon?

[ Don't lie to him; he sees right through you. But his expression doesn't harden. He figures you know what you're doing. ]

[Oh darn. She almost forget who she was dealing with. Leon is one of the few who can see right through her. She'll give him a smile.]

Good guess! They have been my travelling party ever since I came to Johto. I couldn't ask for a better one!

[And she trusts her pokemon with her life at this point especially her Chansey. Not only does the Chansey protect her, but treats her like a sister. They are extremely close.]

...I know you can handle a little hiking, Aerith.

[ He's not that overprotective, is he?

And don't take too long. Then he might need to check up on you. ]

[Sometimes he is, but she doesn't blame him for it. He's usually over-protective on the days there are the most amount of Heartless around.]

I'm glad to hear it. I was about to remind you that I could take care of myself just fine~

[Then she smiles happily.]

And besides, you could always check up on me using the pokegears if you do worry. Just try not to call me every hour, okay?

[Although, she wouldn't mind being checked on because it would feel like home.]

Every hour?

I'm not that bad.

[She's just going to giggle.]

I was only kidding, Leon.

Hn. [ A pause, and then, because it's been niggling at him: ] What have you told people about me, Aerith?

What do you mean?

[Yes, she is going to use the innocent card right now. Why do you look so curious?]

Did something happen?

[ Silly Aerith, he's not even angry! It's just not often he gets complete strangers being like YOU'RE LEON, RIGHT? ]

A few people here already know who I am. So what did you tell them?

[She can't help feel a bit nervous about telling him everything because it is pretty embarrassing telling him about it.]

I only spoke about the good things about you. With Squall, I told him about your gunblade because he weilds the same weapon. I told Cecil about your best qualities. A few others reminded me of you, so I told them about you.

[Her cheeks are a bit flushed.]

I'm sorry if it bothers you, but...I missed you and the others. I couldn't help want to talk about you with all of the friends I made her.

[ He ducks his head a bit. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO TELLING EVERYONE HE'S AWESOME, AERITH. Now they'll have to find out he's actually not. ]

Guess I'll have to make sure to live up to it.

[ It's odd to think of her as having missed him, since, well, they see each other every day and have done so for a decade; strong displays of emotion are rare between them. But he knows she's been here for weeks, without him or Cid or Yuffie for company. Aaaand now he feels bad. ]

[She couldn't help it. Especially when you are a really cool guy, Leon. Even if you do not want to admit it.]

You don't have to try hard to live up to anyone's expectations, Leon. Just be yourself and everyone will know why I spoke so well about you.

[Weeks? She has been in Johto for three monthes. Back home she has never been seperated fom the others for more than three days, at least.]

[ He scratches the back of his neck at her comment, the bridge of his nose starting to show a hint of pink. Why does he feel awkward all of a sudden? Taking compliments = not Leon's forte. ]

...if you say so. [ Ahem. ] Anyway, I'll be seeing you in a week, right?

[She'll just smile at him because she noticed the body gestures. Trust her, Leon. She is one of the few that knows you best.]

Yeah. We'll be reunited in a week. I'll try to reach you as soon as I can. There is so much to tell you about. [Giggles] I can't wait.
