Another one of those weekends.

[ Leon doesn't sound entirely unhappy, mostly just...tired. Resigned. Beside him is Skarmory, looking distracted, but certainly more chipper than her trainer. ]

Don't know how we got to Cianwood, but I decided it'd be best not to let it go to waste. The gym here uses Fighting-type pokémon, so Skarmory didn't have any trouble.

[ Skarmory chirrs, satisfied. Leon scratches her throat absently. He holds up the Storm Badge, watching it glint in the light before tucking it away. ]

She can Fly, now, which means she can carry people on her back. Or she's supposed to.

[ He remembers the last time all too clearly; he'd wound up in the Sprout Tower moat, along with Kay. Luckily, that hadn't been deep, but this was the ocean. And Leon can't swim, but he's not sure if he wants to just accounce it publicly. ]

Is there anyone in Cianwood who'd be willing to give Skarmory a test drive? Someone...smaller.

I've heard it takes a while. Maybe it'd be better to take the ferry.

[ Leon can lie pretty smoothly when he wants to. ]

[and Sora is completely oblivious, naturally.]

I guess that's true... But y'know, personally, I wouldn't mind the extra travel time if it meant I got to fly!

[ A soft, amused hum. ]

Wouldn't your pokemon get tired, flying for days?

[point there, Leon. have a long pause.]

... ... ... I'll have to work on endurance training!

Not to mention there's nowhere to pit stop on the way, as far as I know. I've got Flood to help me out, but he can't just swim in place for hours if Skarmory needs to rest.

[ And the lack of Surf means Leon himself might have to get in the water, and...yeah no. ]

I guess flying over the ocean isn't such a good idea yet... Maybe when Skarmory's had more practice carrying people!

[ A mournful chirr from Skarmory. But booosssss. ;A; ]

... You can do it, Skarmory! I've got total faith in you-- you'll be carrying Leon all over Johto in no time.

[ Skarmory puffs out her chest and chirrups, before tugging on her boss' jacket plaintively. The kid has a point! Leon waves her off. ]

Don't give her ideas, Sora.
